Each day, all three lodges get a challenge to complete and this morning's was all about the wildlife here at Center Parcs. The occupants of each lodge have to try to attract birds and wildlife to the area outside their cabin and all received a pack to get them started with this task.
The packs contain a selection of food for birds and wildlife plus a bird and guide book and a pair of binoculars. Each group can spend up to £5 on additional supplies and may also use anything they already have in their lodge.
By the end of the week we hope to have lots of evidence of the wildlife and birds we have seen including photos, descriptions, drawings and poems. Watch this space!
In the meantime have a look at the lovely treecreeper who we spotted early this morning. We didn't get any photos but hope to see it again soon....

Laser Combat @ Center Parcs
What can I say that will give this activity the respect it deserves?! The actual journey, to the other side of the world…I mean Park…. was an activity in itself! We really could have done with a tea break before it began. Don’t even get me started on the map itself and the directions we received. The ‘hike’ to laser combat began at 9.50a.m and we eventually got to the Outdoor Activity Centre at 10.35a.m. The activity should have started at 10.30 but the staff and other guests had been very patient and were happy to wait for us.
There was an instructor who explained the rules and workings of the equipment. It all sounded quite complicated and tactical but great fun. Most of us just thought; if I see someone from another team…..shoot!
The aim of the game was not to be seen, make like a tree and be camouflaged…some were better than others at this…Jordan !
After much rolling around in the woods, hiding behind trees and underneath foliage, the team who had been shot the least…..survived…I mean won.
A good time was had by all; then the trek back to the lodge, in the rain began. Center Parcs today…..Snowdon tomorrow…..to be continued…..
